Side Hinged Garage Doors
Side-Hinged garage doors provide a traditional alternative that is becoming rapidly more popular where a garage is used for storage or items rather than vehicles, as pedestrians can have simple access to their garage without having the difficulty of lifting the door up and out of the way.
Garage doors that are side-hinged come in a wide range of materials, including timber effect, steel and GRP and in a range of traditional and more modern styles. Ranges made from steel and GRP have other benefits as well, please contact us for more information.
All side-hinged garage doors open outwards, so are unsuitable for driveways that slope upwards or would otherwise prevent the doors from opening. However if height is an issue in your garage then side-hinged garage doors are a perfect solution as there are no lifting mechanisms inside to take up valuable space.
Variable Split Options
Depending on what is best for you, your garage door can be made in one of three ways: either a 1/3 - 2/3 or a 50/50 split. If you are likely to only be using this type of door for pedestrian access, we would generally recommend the latter, however for more information and a quote, please contact us. You can do so online, via the form on the right, or by calling us on any of the numbers at the top of this page.
